Abstract
Data is a very important
information for the investor in the share market. The useful
data can
help them to make decision to invest their money. So for this cousework
(design of web-based visualization system), I choose the data source from
KLSE (Bursa Saham Kuala Lumpur) to do the visualization on it. I will be
focusing on the changing rate of each listed company to analyst the
current market change.
What Data To Be Visualized?
Due to the data that give by the KLSE is not understand by some of the people. Beside that, the info that show by them is not that visualized.
That why I create this visualization system to let
the investor customise their scope and further deep
understand on the share market detail.
The data that I want to visualize are the
i) changes (+/-) of top 10 gainer and losser each category (consumer, finance, ...)
ii) percentage of the change (%) according to each category.
From the data I collect [change(+/-)], I derive another new quantity and show by bar char which can let the investor to more caution to their investment. It also help the investor to decide which is the most potential share to buy (which drop lower than the lowest price for last 3 month) and when to sell.
By visualizating the data, the system can produce a very obvious picture to the investor about the changing of the market. Its also analyst which share/stock of the investor current hold is now in profit margin.

To Be Visualized?
Due to large range of the data showing in the web,
so I feel that it will be show better visualization informaton if the data
can be customize according Category. System can show the visualize
of the top 10 gainer and loser according by the Category.
By the way, it also can help the investor to realize the ratio change of the share value, cause it can customize to the selected counter by the investor. Since 2 data I choose are related to each other, so if can integrate together, it will provide the better information for the investor.
The data in KLSE show the changes of each counter in measure of money (sen) and it percertage (related with price open). My visualization system can help the investor to realize which share they bought is in profit margin.
